
A.L.I.C.E. End User License Agreement (EULA)

This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legal contract between you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) and A.L.I.C.E. (“we,” “our,” or “us”) regarding your use of the A.L.I.C.E. software application, related services, and any associated documentation (“Software”).
By installing, accessing, or using the Software, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use A.L.I.C.E.
1. License Grant
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use A.L.I.C.E. solely for lawful personal or professional purposes, subject to your selected tier (Free, Advanced, or Pro).
You may:

Install the Software on your personal device(s)

Use features available within your subscription tier

Create and export recordings for your own use
You may not:

Sell, sublicense, or redistribute the Software

Rent, lease, or lend the Software to others
-
Circumvent or modify licensing/tier restrictions
2. Ownership
A.L.I.C.E. is licensed, not sold.
All rights, title, and interest in the Software—including code, design, branding, features, and documentation—remain exclusively with A.L.I.C.E.
This Agreement does not grant you any rights beyond the limited license described above.
3. User Responsibilities
You agree to:

Use the Software in compliance with all applicable laws

Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software

Not bypass technological protections, DRM, or licensing mechanisms

Not modify, tamper with, or create derivative works of the Software
Violation may result in license termination.
4. Tier-Based Access and Restrictions
Your available features depend on your tier:

Cheshire (Pro)
We may update, add, or remove features at our discretion. Tier descriptions on our website reflect intended functionality but are subject to change during development.
5. Updates and Upgrades
We may provide updates to improve performance, security, or features.
These updates:

May require manual download

May modify or remove existing functionality
Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
Upgrades from Free → Advanced → Pro require a valid license purchase.
6. Data and Privacy
Your information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By using the Software, you consent to:

Optional diagnostic log submission (only when manually uploaded)

Email communication for support or updates

Processing of your data as described in the Privacy Policy
We do not collect or transmit your video recordings without your permission.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Software is provided “as is” and “as available.”
We make no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

Error-free or uninterrupted operation

Compatibility with all hardware or software environments
Use the Software at your own risk.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:

We are not responsible for lost recordings, corrupted files, or technical failures

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability will not exceed the amount paid for the Software (if any)
Always verify recording setups before critical sessions.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your license if:

You violate this Agreement

You tamper with the Software

You misuse or circumvent licensing systems
Upon termination, you must cease all use and delete the Software.
10. Third-Party Components
A.L.I.C.E. may rely on:

Operating system APIs

Camera and audio drivers
-
Hardware device frameworks
-
Third-party open-source libraries
Their performance is outside our control, and we are not responsible for issues arising from them.
11. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, without consideration of conflict of law principles.
Any disputes will be resolved in state or federal courts located in California unless required otherwise by local law.
12. Changes to This Agreement
We may modify this Agreement as needed.
The latest version will always be available on our website.
Continuing to use A.L.I.C.E. after updates means you accept the revised terms.
